ABSTRACT Sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSHL) is an Otorhinolaryngology emergency. Many factors such as viral infections, autoimmunity and stress are blamed in its etiology. Cranial neuropathies such as anosmia and facial nerve palsy caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus, whose neurotropic and neuroinvasive properties are known, have been reported. It is thought that the SARS-CoV-2 virus, whose effects on nerve degeneration have been shown in many studies, may cause hearing loss through cochleitis, neuritis and immune reaction mechanism. In this period of the COVID-19 pandemic, a case with sudden hearing loss secondary to COVID-19 is presented. A 40-year-old female patient who presented with sudden onset hearing loss and tinnitus in the week following the symptoms of COVID-19, achieved a total recovery in the symptoms of COVID-19 and Sudden Hearing Loss with medical treatment.
