ARTICLE Assessment of Nursing Students’ Knowledge Levels and Attitudes Toward Infectious Diseases
ABSTRACT Aim: This descriptive study was conducted to evaluate the level of knowledge about infectious diseases and attitudes towards infectious diseases of students enrolled in the Nursing Department of a foundation university. Material and Methods: The sample of the study consisted of 101 students studying in the nursing department of a foundation university in the 2020-2021 academic year. The data were collected using the “Sociodemographic characteristics of nursing students and level of knowledge about infectious diseases questionnaire” containing a total of 38 questions created by the researchers and the “Questionnaire for evaluating nursing students' attitudes towards infectious diseases” containing a total of 25 questions created by the researchers. The data were evaluated using SPSS 22.00 package program.
