Assessing the Impact of Digitalization on Healthcare
The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact
of digitalization on healthcare. To accomplish
this goal, a thorough search was carried out
in the PubMed database using the keywords
“healthcare services,” “digitalization,”
“patient,” and “healthcare professionals”
during 2020-2024. According to the PRISMA
flow diagram, 188 international studies were
identified. After a thorough review, 33 research
studies that met the inclusion criteria were
chosen for this systematic analysis. Within the
scope of these studies, the themes of patients,
healthcare workers, and the Covid-19 outbreak
were determined. It has been determined that
digitalization in health services shortens patient
waiting times, reduces hospitalization rates,
shortens diagnosis and treatment processes,
and facilitates access to health services for
populations living in rural areas, the elderly,
and those with chronic diseases.
