ABSTRACT Diabetes is an endocrine and metabolic chronic disease characterized by absolute or partial failure of pancreatic insulin secretion. Being diagnosed with diabetes at a young age paved the way for individuals to experience some physical, psychological and social problems. As a result of the diabetes screening carried out at a foundation university to raise awareness on 14 November World Diabetes Day, it was determined that a student's glucose level was well above the normal limits and he was referred to the endocrinology clinic.
