ARTICLE Current Developments in Otitis Media with Effusion
ABSTRACT Otitis media with effusion is a disease characterized by fluid accumulation behind the intact tympanic membrane without systemic and local signs of acute infection, such as fever, irritability, ear discharge, and hyperemia of the tympanic membrane. It is an important health problem frequently encountered by family physicians, pediatricians, and otolaryngologists.
