ARTICLE Hearing Loss Risk Factors and AABR Test Results in National Newborn Hearing Screenings
ABSTRACT Aim: Early hearing loss detection and intervention aim to enable children with hearing difficulties to complete their language development without falling behind their peers and to prevent their academic success from being negatively affected. For this reason, the Automated Auditory Brainstem Responses (AABR) test, which has been applied in recent years, is considered the gold standard for newborn hearing screening. This study aimed to determine the relationship between risk factors and infants who failed the screening ABR test in hearing screening of newborn infants.
