ABSTRACT Hemodynamic and hemorhelogic features of blood flow is crucial for tissue perfusion. Cochlear micro-circulation is very important for ion/ fluid balance of cochlea, glucose and nutrient supply, and disposal of waste products. Blood viscosity as basic determinant of blood flow is effected from plasma viscosity (PV), hematocrit, erythrocyte deformability, and aggregations of erythroctes, leukocytes and thrombocytes. PV is under the effect of plasma proteins as primarily fibrinogen and lipids. Endothelium that constitutes an inter-face between vessel wall and blood is stimulated from hemodynamic and hemorheological alterations.
