ARTICLE Static and Dynamic Investigation of Plantar Pressure Distributions in Gymnasts
ABSTRACT Aim: Functionally, running foot undertakes many tasks during walking and is also important in sports branches. Different foot press techniques and different sportive movements in sports branches can affect the normal foot pressure. Studies have shown that gymnastics athletes have leg area symmetry, it has been reported that medial arches are high in relation to foot pressure and may vary depending on age and year of doing sports. The aim of this study is to reveal the plantar pressure distributions with static and dynamic pedobarographic measurements in right-dominant athletes who have been doing gymnastics for more than two years and to give an idea about the foot pressure.
