ARTICLE The Impact of Internet Addiction on Peer Relationships
ABSTRACT Aim: This study is conducted to examine the effects of internet addiction on peer relationships. Material and Methods: The sample consists of 227 students studying in the nursing department of a foundation university in Istanbul and data were collected through online platforms. In this study, the Personal Information Form, Young Internet Addiction Test-Short Form, and Peer Relations Scale are applied. The collected data are analyzed and normally distributed by the SPSS 25 statistical program. The Independent Samples T-test and One-Way ANOVA test are used to determine the differences between groups. Pearson correlation analysis is applied to determine the relationship between the scales.
