ARTICLE The Role of Arginine in the Pathophysiology of Non-Communicable Diseases
ABSTRACT "Noncommunicable diseases (NCD)”, most of them are chronic diseases, are responsible for 41 million deaths each year, accounting for 71% of deaths worldwide. In Turkey, the death rate from NCDs is 89% in 2020, with cardiovascular diseases (36.8%), tumors (18.4%) and respiratory system diseases (12.9%) forming the first three causes of death. High mortality rates make NCDs a global concern.
