ARTICLE Investigation of the Effects of Nursing Students’ Critical Thinking Skills on Decision Making, Empathic Tendency and Skills
ABSTRACT Aim: Thought is a process that requires ability based on intellectual process. Critical thinking is a meta-thinking skill that allows us to reflect on thought. Critical thinking in this context in nursing; management, decision making, clinical judgment, professional success, and effective communication. Nurses need to use their critical thinking skills at every stage of the decision-making process in the clinical setting. Courses based on critical thinking in the nursing education process can help nurses make rational decisions and approach the patients they care for more empathetically. The aim of the study is to indicate the relationship between nursing students' critical thinking skills, empathy and decision making skills.
